Showroom Lead - Furniture and Design Goods Store
- RAD is a furniture design and manufacturing company located in Los Angeles. RAD launched in Austin, TX in 2010, and since the beginning, we've been driven by a genuine commitment to taking care of our clients and our team. Our commercial clients include companies like Sweetgreen, Nike, Whole Foods, REI, Patagonia, and Amazon, and we've recently opened our first store and showroom in Atwater Village.
The Role:
- We are looking for a Showroom Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our furniture showroom and design store, selling made to order furniture and design objects from the local community. The ideal candidate will love to sell, and be able to seamlessly communicate with both professional designers and design curious individuals. This role requires a creative, organized, and dynamic individual. A strong connection to the LA design community is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Welcome customers with a friendly and professional presence into our store and introduce our company and brand.
- • Collaborate with our in-house design team to generate and make sales.
- • Maintain a full knowledge of the furniture collection and manufacturing process and be able to communicate the uniqueness of our brand with customers.
- • Assist customers with purchasing furniture, providing personalized service and design assistance.
- • Handling daily store operations, including opening and closing the showroom.
- • Maintain showroom presentation, ensuring the space is always aestetically appealing.
- • Build strong relationships with customers, designers, and the local design community.
- • Host in-store events such as design showcases, product launches, and partner pop-ups.
- • Handle customer service issues and ensure all client needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- • Proven experience in sales, ideally in the furniture or design industry.
- • Strong knowledge of furniture, interior design, and design goods trends.
- • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- • A passion for design and an understanding of the local design community.
- • Experience organizing and hosting events.
- • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings for events.
- • Proficient with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic inventory management.
Compensation
- • $26 - $29/hour depending on experience, plus commission.
- • After a 90 day trial period the position would be assessed for a full time compensation including health care, matching 401k, salary + performance bonuses.
