The main artery of the quintessentially Californian Venice Beach is Abbot Kinney, a street of shops, restaurants, and bars that collectively reflect and define the culture of the beach town. In the thick of it is the bold, blue storefront of Warby Parker, the eyewear brand that led e-commerce in the direct-to-consumer revolution.
If not year-round, the summer brings unimaginable foot traffic to Abbot Kinney, and space comes at a premium. Warby Parker engaged RAD to design outdoor seating for their shop, offering visitors a place to relax in an otherwise busy environment.
Much like their online presence, Warby Parker’s retail experience is all about beautiful simplicity. RAD modified the Perforated Bench to incorporate a back, creating a piece both minimalistic and unique to Warby Parker.
