Warranty

At RAD, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our work and stand behind it in good faith. This Warranty is offered with the understanding that both RAD and our clients share a commitment to common sense and responsible practices: we will support our products against true defects in materials or workmanship, while our clients are expected to use, maintain, and care for them in a reasonably responsible manner.

CUSTOM

This warranty does not apply to custom products. Products manufactured or modified according to client supplied design specifications, drawings, materials, or instructions are expressly excluded from this warranty. Because such products are produced to the client's own requirements, we cannot warrant their fitness for purpose, performance, or durability.

STRUCTURE

RAD warrants its welded steel furniture to be free from structural defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from improper maintenance (including the use of power washing), receipt or installation, transport, misuse, negligence, accident or alteration. RAD will, at its option, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of any items found defective upon inspection.

METAL MATERIALS

Minor inconsistencies in the texture of various metals are commonplace. These features do not qualify as defects, and as such, this warranty does not cover replacement or repair of products with such inconsistencies. Where possible, RAD’s metal products are entirely welded for long-term use rather than constructed using hardware or adhesives. Welded connection points are sanded prior to powder coating, which will minimize but may not entirely eliminate subtle markings or weld deformations located at these sites, including small visible features on table surfaces. These features do not qualify as defects, and as such, this Warranty will not cover replacement or repair of products featuring these markings.

METAL FINISH

While powder coating is known for its durability and resistance to wear and corrosion, like any surface treatment, it is not immune to wear over time. RAD uses the highest quality powder coating available and takes care to sandblast and prime our furniture before the powder coating process. While powder coating is the industry standard for its durability, it is not impervious to the effects of regular wear and tear, the results of which are not covered by this warranty. The powder coat finish on our furniture is warranted against peeling, cracking or blistering for a period of ONE (1) Year from the date of delivery, if deemed a result of a manufacturing defect. Failure of the powder coat finish due to abrasion, including abrasion caused by stacking the furniture against other furniture or scraping against other surfaces, is not covered by this warranty. Nor are reasonable levels of change in surface finish, including colorfastness, due to aging or exposure to light, or due to improper cleaning practices, such as power washing, as outlined in RAD’s Care & Maintenance guide. While powder coating largely protects metal from the impacts of rust, metal is subject to rust, particularly along edges (i.e. the perforations in perforated steel) and at seams. Dark powder coat colors will better conceal small amounts of rust and are advisable if rust is a concern, particularly near the ocean or salty environments. Visible rust is not considered a defect and therefore is not covered by this warranty. Exposure to salt water or salt air may cause powder coat finishes that have been damaged by abrasion to blister due to oxidation of the metal; such blistering and oxidation are not covered by this warranty. Please refer to RAD’s Care and Maintenance guide for recommendations for the care of your products.

This Warranty will not apply to damage to and/or failure of the metal caused by: moisture or other contamination detrimental to the metal because of improper packaging, storage or handling of the coated metal prior to installation by the customer; scratching or abrading of the metal during or after installation by the customer; standing or ponding water; improper cleaning of the metal, including the use of power washing); corrosion of the metal substrate; or acts of God, falling objects, explosions, fi e, or other such similar or dissimilar occurrences beyond RAD Furniture’s control.

WOOD

Wood will naturally change in appearance over time, and the aesthetics of wear or weathering are inherently subjective—what may be appealing to some may not be to others. While RAD utilizes only the highest quality woods and finishes wood is a natural material and therefore not covered under warranty. Natural characteristics—such as grain pattern indentations, checking, splitting, movement, or variations in texture and tone—are inherent to wood and do not constitute defects. Exposure to sunlight, temperature fluctuations, and changes in humidity may result in expansion, contraction, fading, or other changes to appearance over time. These expected developments, sometimes referred to as “weathering” or “seasoning,” may include visible checking (splitting/cracking along the grain). Such changes are natural, unavoidable, and excluded from warranty coverage. Additionally, any wear, damage, or discoloration resulting from misuse, neglect, exposure to harsh environmental conditions, or the use of improper cleaning products or methods—including but not limited to power washing—is not covered under this warranty. RAD shall not be held liable for any damages, claims, or losses arising from the natural properties of wood or from improper care, cleaning, or maintenance. Responsibility for proper care and use rests solely with the purchaser.

FABRIC & CUSHIONS

RAD warrants its fabric and cushioning for ONE (1) Year from the date of delivery against defects in materials (as defined by the fabric and cushion manufacturers’ guidelines) and workmanship. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Exempt from Warranty coverage is normal wear (fading, wrinkling, pilling, or softening over time), damage from misuse or unapproved cleaning methods, stains, spills, discoloration, and changes in comfort level from use. To maximize product life, cushions and fabrics should be maintained in accordance with the care guidelines.
